The Monster grows within...

No, I'm not with child. This is a different beast all together.

The Move

Yes, dear two and a half readers, the move is official. We are Vancouver-bound for May 1st, and the mad dash is on to cram the large, wonderful, bizarre collection of our lives together into 2 U-haul trucks and a Toyota Echo, and then into an apartment slightly smaller than where we are currently, which would confuse and horrify those who are familiar with just how much crap we have in our current small apartment. The kicker here is that we're doing this without any secure prospects of a living. Rod gets paid into June from his contracting work, but ultimately, he has no job yet, and my schooling is a go, but not guaranteed yet.

So far, the move hasn't really taken hold. There are some books packed, and our storeroom has spilled out into our living room, because we are trying to slim down the box fetish that Rod has. Speaking of which, today, thanks to another blog, we learned that Rod is a prime candidate for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and I only wish I was joking about this...

That's our little Rodney. A hoarder. So, as you can imagine, things get prickly around here when I'm trying to eliminate some excess weight and space. Great. Two control freaks with a massive deadline...just watch the sparks fly. Any bets of whether this ends with a lot of makeup sex or a homocide?

In other news, it's Birfday season around here. Mason's on the 15th, Beni's on the 18th, Wendy's on the 26th, Lori's on the 27th, and the big wind-up, Rod's BIG 3-0 on the 31st. And it's theoretically Rod's last day of work on the 31st (though he's hired on for two weeks of part time professional consulting), and since we're moving...We're hosting a birfday party at BP's on Friday, meant to be a 3-in-1 party. It's good times all around.
